A special night as we recognize and celebrate National Indigenous People's Day...Matt Comeau live at The Muse

Matt Comeau is a Mik’maq songwriter and recording artist from Elsipogtog First Nation New Brunswick, his music tells stories of loss and gain from the perspective of a contemporary first nation’s man.

Known for his powerful vocals, energetic playing style and skilled musicianship, Matt’s song “Witness” became a hit on Sirius XMs’ Indigenous People’s Radio in 2017. 2018 saw the release of the very successful collaboration titled “All my People” where Matt wrote and took part in recording sessions with other artists such as Juno Award Winner Hubert Francis, Legendary Mik’maq songwriter George Paul, and the multiple award winning hip hop group City Natives.The album was received well across the Atlantic provinces as well as Quebec with multiple positive reviews from writers at CBC.

2019 has started off with a release of Matt’s new single “Did You Wrong” available across all streaming platforms. His collaborative effort "Brothers" is featured on CBC Television's "Tout Le Monde en Parle" weekly.
